The word Mandarin is referred to as “citrus reticulata” originating from China, now grown across the globe in hot sunny climates. The name is thought to have derived from the orange gowns that the Mandarin dignitaries wore.

Mandarin fruit peels are used to make three different types of Mandarin oils - Yellow, Red, and Green. The ripeness of the fruit dictates the oil produced. Green is pressed while the fruit is still young and green, Red is pressed when the fruit has completely ripened and Yellow is pressed when the fruit is in the middle of the ripening stages.
