Calendula officinalis - Egypt
This unique essential oil from Egypt is extracted with a CO2 method from the flowers of Marigold plant (Calendula officinalis). The stems, leaves and blossoms of this plant are all used for its medicinal properties in various cultures and have been for centuries. The flowers, also known as Calendula, are bright orange in color and belong to the sunflower family. These are what give our essential oil its strong, herbaceous and earthy, almost sour aroma and astringent properties.
