Muhuhu African Sandalwood, Wild 10 ml

Brachyleana hutchinsii - Kenya

Also known as African Sandalwood, Muhuhu oil possesses the aroma of fresh cut wood straight from Kenya. The sweet, balsamic undertones in Muhuhu oil round out its woody, faintly smoky side that can be similar to a combination of Cedarwood and Vetiver. The balsamic aroma and woody note gives Muhuhu oil a somewhat similar aroma to Sandalwood, hence the name African sandalwood. However, it's not considered a replacement for true Sandalwood oils.

For years, Muhuhu oil's enticing woody smokiness has been used to calm stress. Like many other woody essential oils, Muhuhu oil improves with age.

Our beautifully rich and warm Muhuhu essential oil comes from its native Kenya and is steam distilled.

In addition to India, Sandalwood grows in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, western Australia and various Pacific Islands, including Vanuatu and New Caledonia

Extraction: Sandalwood essential oil is created from the steam distillation of the core wood, also called the “heartwood” of the tree
